A couple of weeks ago, I decided to make these Oreo Truffle Bombs for a Super Bowl Party we were attending. I actually had them for the first time a few years prior, at the same friend’s house while they were hosting a party. I asked the girl who had made them her recipe, and it’s turned out to be SO easy. I’ve made Oreo Bomb Truffles several times since, and they are always a big hit. Some of these are a little crazy with the sprinkles, because of course my 4 year old helper LOVES sprinkles. The truth is, you can top these balls with anything or nothing. I’ve made them with crushed ...

Fresh Peach Crumble
Living in Georgia, peaches are everywhere during the summer! I was never a big peach eater until I tried fresh, in season peaches. It is such a huge difference eating a big fresh Georgia peach, than eating a little grocery store peach during the winter. You need to buy peaches in season, and fresh if possible. I love going to farmers markets in the spring and summer, and in Georgia they are stocked with delicious peaches. However, if you don’t live in a peach producing state, then head to places like Whole Foods and Trader Joes to get the most fresh produce you find. Anyway, ...

Guest Post: Mini Banana Puddings
Today we have a great recipe from Dana! I can't wait to share it with y'all, because her recipes are always super delicious! _____________________ Hi there! It's Dana from This Silly Girl's Life and I'm so excited to be guest posting today for Allyson! I love recreating classic recipes to fit different occasions or tastes. I did that with a classic dessert, banana pudding! I love banana pudding and it always remind me of my childhood when my southern Grandma (yes, I have a southern and a northern Grandma, the best of both worlds!) would make it for us and it was gone in a flash! BUT, my ...
Cranberry Walnut Bread with a Crumble Topping
Growing up we always had cranberry sauce at our Thanksgiving table. I am not talking homemade lumpy cranberry sauce, I am talking straight up from a can cranberry sauce. I thought the indents on the cranberry blob/sauce were pretty cool and that it allowed you to see how it looked from the inside of the can. Why did it need those indentations on the can anyway? This, I will never know (well, unless I hit up google, but I am not too concerned about it anymore). Can or not, I always loved cranberry sauce. My favorite thing to do was use it the day after ...
Chocolate Almond Cheesecake Bars
As everyone knows, the holidays are an incredibly busy time of the year. We have Thanksgiving and then a few weeks later are celebrating Christmas. We even have my son’s birthday between the two holidays, which makes it even crazier. While I love the holidays, I also like to take time to relax and enjoy our friends, before things get too stressful. For the last few years we have taken a night off from all the stress, and had a little holiday party where we get together with our close friends, and just enjoy their company and be free of all holiday stress. I ...
