You know that moment, you know, the one when you realize you need to bring 4 dozen cookies somewhere, but only have an hour before said event? Well, between us, I’ve got you covered. If you’ve read my other ‘baking’ posts, you should know very well by now, I am not a baker. I have coined the #IAmNotABaker hashtag on Instagram, and it’s so true (go ahead and look it up, I promise you will see all my baking masterpieces). I just can never get things quite right, and when I do, that’s when you hear about it. They are few and far between though, trust me. So, this is how the Shortcut White Chocolate Peppermint Sugar Cookies came into play…because there is one HUGE shortcut…can you guess?
I mean, no one can really make soft perfect sugar cookies like these, right? Hmmm. Truth be told, you can find these sugar cookies in your refrigerator case at your local grocery store. BUT, I promise promise promise you that NO ONE will be able to tell these are not homemade. Not only are they soft and delicious, but they are dressed up and ‘homemade’ looking, ha!
These cookies specifically, are from a holiday peppermint sugar cookie dough that I bought at Kroger. It was brand name, so I am guessing you can find it, too. However, if you can’t find this deliciousness of peppermint sugar cookie dough, you can 1. make your own, or 2. buy regular sugar cookie dough and add peppermint (aka candy cane) pieces to it. Seriously, it’s awesome. Then, all you need to buy is white chocolate chips/bark/melting chips, and some white chocolate peppermint candy bars (look in the holiday section – if you can’t find the bars, you could also substitute peppermint kisses), then bake, dip, and sprinkle…BOOM! Done!
