A couple months ago I posted about some ‘Zax’ Sauce that I made, and judging by all the responses, people loved it. I guess everyone loves a good sauce, and often times I find myself loving a sauce over whatever food is being sauced. The sauce usually packs the punch of flavor, and my husband always says that (insert whatever food here) is just a vehicle for the sauce….whatever the sauce may be. So I started thinking about what other sauces people love, and immediately I thought about the sauce that gets served with the Bloomin’ Onion at Outback Steakhouse. It’s tangy and spicy, and really would be delightful on anything you can dip….not just a bloomin’ onion. Once I looked into it some more, I found out that the sauce is called Bloom Sauce…who knew?!
The base for the sauce is very similar to the Zax Sauce, but the additions are different. The bloom sauce packs a spicy punch of horseradish, where the Zax Sauce is very mild. After playing around with a couple different ingredients, I think this sauce is nearly identical to the actual sauce that is served at Outback. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
*Shout out to my husband for being an exceptional hand model so I could get these photos!*

Hey lady 🙂 This sauce looks so good. Do you have an onion ring recipe?
It is so good! I am usually lazy and use store bought onion rings (i know, terrible!), but this one looks fabulous and they are baked instead of fried! http://www.finecooking.com/recipes/oven-baked-onion-rings-ellie-krieger.aspx
I also like a good sauce, you are invited to share this with Show Your Stuff:

HaHa! I made my husband be a hand model on my last post! Anyway I love this sauce! Can’t wait to try it out.
That looks amazing! Pinning!
MMM fried onion ring deliciousness!
Nothing like some good fried onion rings and tasty dip! Thanks for stopping by, Allison!
All I have to say is that I one hundred percent agree with your husband. Food items are just vehicles for sauce (or dip, I can change it out with dip as well).
LOL! He would love to hear that, although these days I pretty much feel the same way. It’s all about the sauce!
this sauce is also great with sweet potato fries
Oh! I will totally have to try that!
Buy some chipolte seasoning at the bulk store. Add just a slight amount to some mayo and mix. Let is sit in the fridge for a bit. Stir again to make sure it is mixed thoroughly. You will love this! and oh so simple. It has a nice kick to it. You can experiment as to how spicy you want it. You dont need much at all. start with just a bit of the seasoning on the tip of a soon… that’s how spicy it can be. Enjoy!
This sauce is also super yummy on fried pickles!
It sounds like all my dreams come true!
